Overprint varnishes (OPV) need good film-forming properties along with block resistance and a variety of other resistances. Styrene acrylic RSE polymers are often a best choice when formulating an OPV. For example, these emulsion polymers can be formulated into a non-skid or high gloss OPV.
Rovene® 6114 is a low glass transition temperature, acrylic polymer emulsion with improved oil & grease resistance. It is a very soft film forming vehicle that provides good gloss, excellent water and rub resistance, and non-skid properties for flexographic and gravure inks and overprint varnishes.
Rovene 6104 is a very soft, film forming vehicle that provides good water and rub resistance for flexographic and gravure inks and overprint varnishes.
Rovene 6103 is a styrene-acrylic resin supported emulsion can be used as the film forming component in overprint varnish formulations or as the sole vehicle for inks and overprint varnishes.
Rovene 6112 is a hard, film forming, low glycol and VOC vehicle with a moderately low glass transition temperature for flexographic and gravure inks and overprint varnishes.
Rovene 6106 is a low viscosity but high solids letdown emulsion for paper and paper board substrates.

Rovene 6111 is a low glycol and low VOC styrene-acrylic resin supported emulsion. It is a general purpose, hard, non-film forming emulsion for flexographic and gravure inks and overprint varnishes.
Rovene 6115 is a styrene-acrylic resin supported emulsion. Rovene 6115 is hard, non-film forming vehicle that is neutralized with sodium hydroxide for flexographic and gravure inks and overprint varnishes primarily for use on paper and paperboard substrates.
Rovene 6107 is a very hard, resin supported emulsion but has a minimum film forming temperature below 20°C that is designed to be used as a letdown vehicle in inks and overprint varnishes for paper and paperboard substrates.
Rovene 6201 is an alkali soluble styrene-acrylic resin with a mid-range molecular weight for overprint varnishes, water based inks and pigment dispersions
Rovene 6204 is a 34% solids solution version of Rovene 6201 styrene-acrylic resin neutralized with ammonia hydroxide. It can be used as a pigment dispersant resin and as a modifying additive in inks or overprint varnishes.
